The Site Finally Finished
and Alpha 1.2!

Good morning all,

This is the second article, and this will mark the start of a new cycle as I just finished this website.

The site took me four weeks to complete and I am quite happy with the result. The site displays normally for mobile now.

I am not comfortable with websites and was in a hurry to resume development of the game Torkin’s Escape.

This weekend, I implemented the Collectable Gold Coins and fixed several small issues that I noticed thanks to the feedback from the testing of the demo:


  • There are now gold coins to collect and they are scattered all over the dungeon.
  • Wooden chests can now be opened. They potentially contain gold coins.
  • You will be able to find the “movable chair”, which was already implemented but awaited the arrival of artificial intelligence. It helps me improve the understanding by blocking doors from the inside.


  • Several texts, including the clues left by the Torks once liberated, were poorly understood. So, I reworked them.
  • Some textures, especially for menus, did not display correctly depending on screen resolutions.
  • Adding images to the codex
  • Added gold coins to the codex as well as the inventory.

The next step will therefore be Alpha 2.0 with the implementation of artificial intelligence. I do not know how long it will take me, but I am giving myself a good month to build the base. I will of course keep you informed.

Now here is a piece of my specification for artificial intelligence.

The Base Soldier

This is what basic AI should be able to do.

She will have to patrol following points that I will determine, and she will get tired. When her fatigue reaches zero, she will then look for a chair to rest. If there is no chair on the map in question, then it will lean against a wall in a location I choose until its fatigue gauge is full.

Of course, the AI ​​will chase Torkin if he sees him and once caught, the player will start over either in his cell or at the last door his used. (I would decide depending on the difficulty I am looking for during the tests)

So much for the basic features for “Guard” type AI. There will of course be more, but I do not want to give it all away.

The Captain

The AI ​​”Captain” is like the Basic Soldier, but it will not tire out and it will prevent soldiers from resting.
